You are so right!.

This is perhaps one of the reasons the APS-C sensored cameras do so well when shooting weddings, portraits and glamour shots!. The photographer can shoot wide open and still get decent DOF!.

Shooting with a 12-24 mm lens on a D300 at the Grand Canyon can produce some amazing images, even in low light like sunrise or sunset!.

To really tell the difference in DOF, just look through your 210 mm on the ground glass of a 4x5 and see how little DOF you get, even at f/16 when compared with a 60 mm macro on a F5 or D3 at f/16, etc, etc, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
