Original strength color only lasts a few weeks or so!. My roommate loves red hair and is constantly dying hers different shades, only to have them fade to a strawberry blonde!. Personally, I like it, but she doesn't, so she keeps redying it!. If this is your first time, or you are especially nervous, go to a hair place and have them professionally do it!. They'll make sure you get the most even coverage of color, as well as help you pick out the shade that's right for your hair, with minimal amount of damage!. If you're at a good one, they'll have an example of the hair after it fades as well!. If you want to go red, I'd suggest as red as 'natural' hair color goes, which is kind of orangy!. DO NOT dye your hair that STUPID maroon color unless you're going to have a pro salon do it (and listen to them if they say they don't reccommend it)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Possibly!. If you're not sure, something you could do make the front of your hair red (bangs), or do red highlights throughout, and see if you like it!. also, this way, if you don't like it, it's much easier to dye back a small area than your entire head!.
