I'll comment on the second picture!.

Okay, it does look characteristically like a flash!. Her face is brightly lit, but the background is dark!. also, if you look at her eyes, it looks like her pupils are constricted, indicating a bright light source!. So I'm thinking she did use the flash or maybe a bright lamp was on her face!. If this was a digital camera, she might have turned down the ISO so that the flash wouldn't completely wash out her face!. Usually a flash that close will completely overexpose and wash out a person's face!.

It's possible she might have edited the picture and turned down the color saturation!. She might have also adjusted the exposure so that her face wouldn't be completely overexposed by the flash!.

That's really the only possible editing I'm seeing!.!.!.that maybe the color saturation was turned down to give more muted colors, and the exposure might have been adjusted!. It's really not that great of a picture!. I don't see anything special about!. It's not a "horrible" picture and she does look nice, but it's just a typical snapshot!. From a photography standpoint, there's nothing special about it!.

You don't need Photoshop to do that!. You would just need an image editing program that has features to adjust exposure and color saturation, and just about any program can!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Neither one looks like they had any editing done to them!. The difference is the lighting!.

The first one looks like it has natural lighting from a table lamp of some sort and is a tad underexposed!.

The second one looks like it has some flash used or an umbrella or softbox setup (notice the eyes)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is a very simple transformation i do that kind all the time!.!.!. all it is is changing the levels of the coloring and brightness!.!.!.

She didnt, she just used a flash!. the first one had no flash the second one did!. If she did anything she could have duplicated the layer then made the "llight" softened!.!.!.

you have to know photoshop to know what im talking about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Justin W is correct except that in number two it is just the on camera flash, the camera lifted high!.

(BTW!.!.!.what a dumb expression in number two!.!.!.too bad, she has such pretty eyes!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably brightened and lessened the saturation!.
Might have adjusted the curves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I only difference I see is the last one is brighter and and different pose, Looks like they added some kind of lighting to it Www@QuestionHome@Com
