Punky-Pink,

The Nikon 50mm F/1!.8 and Nikon 80mm F/1!.8 are considered some of the "sharpest" lenses that Nikon offers!.

Keep in mind that "sharpness" is influenced by many variables; ISO, shutter speed, print contrast, use of tripod, mirror lock-up, aperture/DOF, self-timer, monitor calibration, subject movement, use of remote, etc!.

Please show an example of what you want to improve!.

Primes are always sharper than zooms!.

I really like the 35mm f/2!.0 lens:

and the 60mm f/2!.8 macro lens:

For a zoom, the 17-55 f/2!.8 is not bad:

Click "Original" if you want to see them even bigger!. With the last one, you can see the peach fuzz on her arm!. It's amazing to me!.

imo the best quality includes bokeh, contrast and sharpness!. my vote is for the 200 f2!. as previously mentioned, the 50 1!.8 is super sharp and super cheap, really the best value going!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
