Question: I am going to attend Senator Barack's final rally in Virgina tomorrow!? Use digital or film!?

I was thinking I only want to carry one camera!. Because it is so historic should I use film so I have a permanent and nostalgic keepsake of the event!. Or digital to get everything I can!.

I would approach this like I do all my photo projects!. I consider digital for production, film for art!. I would classify this as production, most definitely!. These photos are not going to be works of art by any stretch of the imagination!. This is where digital does have advantages!. You do not have to worry about film changes and expense!. So for me, this would definitely be a digital camera shoot!. When I use film, I only want it to be in a totally unrushed environment when I am MAKING a photo the way I want!. Face it, you are just going to be there with thousands of others!. You are not going to be able to compose and meter a great film shot!.

Digital!.!.!. Can change the color and sizes if nessacary later!.!.!. also, digital can be saved in many places, unlike Film Negatives which if lost, you may never be able to print photos again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tough choice but take both so that you can capture the event from beginning to end, saving the film for quality shots!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

one body, take a dig and some cards, if you want to make billboard enlargements take a film view camera,

some nice digi images with purple fringing would add that historic look your after!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you can- take both!. Otherwise, just take the digital, if its a good quality camera!. You can always save them to a disk(CD), print them out, etc!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
