Hello Abby ~ I can see what you are trying to achieve and I think you're done a good effort ~ I have a couple of small points which you may wish to think about!.

Sometimes when we draw, we see "everything" and its not always a good thing to try and draw everything, it can be better to suggest an area [such as the mouth you have drawn] than trying to put all the detail in!.

You say that the light is comming from under the chin ~ in which case you wouldn't have such detail of the hair line, the bottom and tip of the nose would be in light, but then dark before you reached the forehead which would catch some of the light from the bottom!.

These are only small points ~ hopefully to make you think and carry on with your work ~ as an example ~ when its dark, take a light, stand in front of a mirror, and shine the light up under your chin, you will then see what I mean about where the shadows come in!.

i think you are very talented, but if you were trying to make it look more realistic you would you have to do a little more shading of the different areas and not have the face looking directly into the point of view!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
