Firstly, it isn't as bad as it sounds!. I can draw some things, like anime heads, but they're but mediocre, and I can do some decent doodles, but I want to be able to draw like this!.

Anyway, why can't I draw that good!? It's only moving your hand on paper!. I don't understand! I can visualize it fine, but when I hit the paper, it's hideous!.

Let me suggest to you: Find a book called "The Pencil" by Paul Calle,!.!.!.!.it is the only book you'll ever really need to learn to draw from,!.!.!.!.!.You'll be able to find it on the wen or in a book store or at a used book store!. In this book it shows you not so much "to learn how to draw but how to "learn" to learn to draw!. The book gives you shortcuts and some tricks of the trade for illustration, how do do layouts and story pages and so much more!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you'll probably want to put it in a safe and keep it forever!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Books and observations!. I learned a lot from "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" (Betty Edwards) many years ago!. More recently, I made huge progress with "Drawing Realistic Textures in Pencil" (J!.D!. Hillberry - it's for textures, not proportions)!. But I've also improved a lot by simple observation!. Look at things (people, animals, whatever) when they are in odd poses, notice the proportions, notice the shadows and highlights!. Take a sketch pad with you everywhere and sketch when you see something you can learn from!. And practice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
