Rudy Shepstone created it in 1997 after messing with Elements 1!.2 for a couple of weeks!.

As most do, he started by putting a typical square white "canvas" around his images!.!.!.then one day he was hit in the head by a softball at practice and later, still dazed, accidentally put a non linear canvas around his image!. His grandma mentioned to him that it looked just like the old Polaroids she kept hidden in the attic!.

The old Polaroid photographs documented her "glory days" so Grandma, to his deep disappointment, did not let Rudy look at the Polaroids because of their racy nature!. He posted his new technique at photo!.net and all agreed that it did, indeed, look like Polaroids!. Rudy's faux Polaroid technique took the internet world be storm!

The rest, as they say, is history!.



(Later, Rudy climbed into the attic and sneaked a peek at Grandma's original Polaroids; to this day he remains hospitalized with mental trauma!. Catatonic!. Sad ending for a photographic pioneer!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
