Question: Is the Iwata Revolution CR a good airbrush!?
I was mad because I bought a badger (250 model i think) and it was an external mix, little did i know as i was just starting airbrushing, external mix is terrible if you want to do anything other than one solid color or use a stencil!. So i was hoping to get an internal mix for Christmas, but I need to know exactly which one I want because my parents don't know anything about airbrushing and they will probably buy a bad one if I let them choose!. So I was wondering is the Iwata Revolution CR a good airbrush for detail/intricate projects or for spraying small lines so I can do things like spray letters and other things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Revolution CR is a perfect airbrush for a beginner!. It's an Iwata, so you know it's quality!. It's a gravity feed, witch I always recommend, and it 's needle / nozzle combination is a little bigger than most other Iwata's!. I think this is a good thing for a beginner, because you'll be able to use pre-made airbrush paints like Createx, or Golden straight from the bottle without having to reduce them!. With the smaller needle / nozzle combo's, The pre-made stuff is usually still a bit to thick!. Make sure your parents get an Iwata hose with it!. Your Badger hose won't fit!. Here are a few links to get you moving in the right direction!.

http://www!.airbrushtech!.net/ They have a great forum, and a bunch "how to" articles!. Just sign up (it's free) and start asking questions!. There are some extremely talented and friendly people there, who are always willing to help!. Sometimes even some of the famous guys chime in!.

http://www!.tcpglobal!.com/airbrushdepot/ Whatever you need, chances are, they got it at a reasonable price!. I do business with these guys all the time, and they've never let me down!.

http://www!.harborfreight!.com/ Compressors, hoses, fittings, moisture traps, This place will save you money!. They even sell a braided airbrush hose that will fit Iwata!. It will come with an adapter for badger!. Just unscrew the adapter and you're good to go!.

http://smartflix!.com/ Airbrush video's are really expensive to buy!. You can just rent them here!.

Good call on choosing a quality gravity feed gun!. Beginners aren't usually that smart!. You've obviously done a little homework!. If you have anymore airbrush questions, feel free to email me through YA!. I'm always more than happy to help a fellow airbrush artist!.

One more thing!. Hang on to that Badger!. It will be good to have if you need to just fill in larger areas!. If I remember correctly the 250 is a plastic gun (right!?)!. I wouldn't shoot any solvent based paints through it!. It may melt, but if you're just using the pre-made water based stuff, it should be just fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
