Getting better at what you love simply takes practice and experimentation!. If you enjoy drawing animals, go out and watch them move and sketch, if you enjoy architecture, go out and sketch that, if people are your thing then get friends and family to pose for you, take classes at school or since art classes are being stricken from many schools curriculum then you can take classes at the local community college or community center, you can even find other art students who may be more advanced than you who may be willing to Mentor you!. There are a lot of books that teach drawing and some are good and some are not but it is up to you to pursue! Develop your hand eye skills, look at things and draw them, there is few better ways to memorize lines and pull them from your head later!. Really though it comes from practice practice practice, inspiration is not born overnight and it comes through you drawing what you love no matter what it is and combining it with skills and techniques you pick up on the way!. Play with different mediums and styles!. Inspiration can come from the blue in the feathers of a bird, the orange of a sunset, the white of a perfect rose!.!.it is all around you you only need look!.!.!.!.!.!.good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com I started off tracing things and getting it programmed in my head the way the artist drew the thing i traced then I started trying to draw the thing without tracing, ten years later, i got a state wide art competition under my belt, an art award at my college, among others, I say the best inspiration comes from life, I like to draw the human form, i find joy in that, so i study ppl body movements face gestures!.!.etc, have funWww@QuestionHome@Com Try to paint something from your head!. Not from looking at something!. Then think about how you feel at that time and let it come out in your colors/textures/style!. Feeling sad use some blues/greens !.!.!.mad reds/oranges ec!. Not exactly those, just use your imagination!. Try to think like a kid!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Try drawing simple things!. Don't jump ahead to rooms and stuff!. If you are drawing a big landscape or portrait, make sure you draw 3 horizontal lines across the page then two diagonals!. This will help you with the proportions and get the accurate size of things!.
