I've never used slide film before!. also, I don't know if I could afford it!. The last time I looked, Kodachrome was pretty expensive :(

I just bought a roll of Velvia 100, so I am interested in trying slide film!. When I get paid next week, I might try some Kodachrome!. But honestly, I just don't know if I could afford to shoot a roll a week!. Plus, I don't live in a really "photogenic" area!. I like taking landscape photos, but southern California isn't a very great place for taking pictures unless you really go out of your way!. There's just too much traffic anywhere you go!. Usually I can get interesting pictures up in the mountains!. But I'm kind of running out of interesting subjects and I have to go farther and farther out!. And then gas is so expensive, so sometimes I can't really afford to go anywhere!. (I'm just a broke college student and I'm only working part time right now!.) So even if I could afford to shoot 1 roll a week, I don't know if I would be able to find enough interesting subjects!.

I have a collection of 8mm movie cameras, and I do shoot 8mm film sometimes!.!.!.I buy my movie film from Dwayne's Photo and I also send it back there to get developed!. So I try to give Dwayne's as much business as I can!. I have also shot a few rolls of Cinechrome K-14 movie film (which I think is Kodachorme)!.!.!.so does that count!?

So, basically to summarize my answer!.!.!.I'll try :)

Now, are you going to encourage Kodak and shoot some Ektar 100 film when it becomes available!?!? Freestyle Photo Supplies has it in stock right now!. It's supposed to be super fine grain and have really awesome color saturation!. Perfect timing for fall!. We have to encourage Kodak for continuing to invest in film research!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sigh!. You wouldn't believe the number of metal cases of Kodachrome slides I have in storage!. And I recall my Dad loved the old Kodachrome 25 for its fine grain and emphasis on the reds and yellows!.

I think he loved annoying me with that stuff too - he could take shake free one second hand held time exposures when low light levels really demanded flash or a tripod from ordinary people!.

At the current price of about $9 to $10 a 36 exposure roll, plus a similar amount for processing, is well beyond my amateur budget!. When the heavens smile on me again and my fortunes improve, I promise to honor your request!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
