What camera would be best for me?

Question:

currently i have an older model of the cyber-shot S780 digital camera DSC-S780, though i am unsure of the actual model but i am sure it is at least in some ways like that one!.
i want one that is more of a "professional" one!. mine is really great at taking pictures of natural scenes but has difficulty when taking pictures of people or things inside!.
just some good ideas at cameras to look at would be fine!.
i dont know if you have time or if it would help you answer, but i do have a flickr account (username evolutiongoneastray)!.

You might want to look at a DLSR camera!. It will give you the most amount of flexibility!. Something like a Nikon D40 or D60 or a Canon Rebel XS or XSi!. They are more pricey than most point and shoot cameras, however it allows you to get to a whole new level of artistry!.

Sounds like your ready for a DSLR!. Because you are in control, you have to learn how to use it, another learning curve :-(
