Question: How can I get ink off my old photo prints!!!?
I recently stamped my name onto the back of some prints that I have of me when I was younger and then put them in a pil (don't tell me how stupid it was!.!.!.believe me, I already know)!. The ink from the back of the photos has gotten on to the ones underneath!.

So basically, there is ink from a stamp all over my old photo prints!! I am sooo sad about this, how can I save them!? Is there a way that I can clean it off!? Have you had this happen to you before!? If so, what did you do about it!? Any ideas will do, but Id love to hear about it if you've tried this solution and it worked!. I am so upset about it, so please help!!!! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Alright I have a few idea's depending on what you still have and/or how the prints were made!.

The first and most simple way, with the least chance of destroying your prized possessions would be to dig up the negatives and get them re-printed!.

If you have no negatives then you still have a few options!. Being as photo's are processed in liquid they should be unaffected by returning them to the water!. Don't make it to warm, about 21 degrees is usually safe!.

I'm guessing they are colour prints made in a shop!? Then apply very light rubbing!. If they are glossy they should have resisted the ink a little better but then again would be more prone to smudging so be extra careful!.

To dry them hang them on a line and let them dry naturally in a place where they wont get too much dust!. Try to hang them so that there are two pictures pegged back to back and try not to crease them by hanging them over the line (use the bottom part of the peg)!. You'll also want to per the two prints together at both of the bottom corners!.

If the ink has sank in then I'm really not sure how to help you unless you a bit of a stud on photoshop and want to scan them into your computer and alter the flaws out!.

Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
