All of the Canon Powershot point and shoot cameras let you choose B&W, sepia or "color accent," which brings out a certain color of your choice!. I am sure that there are other brands that do the same thing, but that's the line I am familiar with!. As far as taking the color and B&W (whatever) simultaneously, I don't know of any camera that will do that!. I don't know everything, though!. Many cameras let you open an image in the LCD monitor and perform an edit or color change in the camera and then save the new changes, while preserving your original!. Look for this in-camera editting feature!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, many of the P&S cameras have that feature, special effects in the camera!. As long as you are happy with the results they are fine, although most cost well above $200!.

Most of us who have been shooting digital images for many years, shoot everything at the highest resolution the camera will support in sRGB colour and then later manipulate just those images we want to change using a photo program like the under $100 Photoshop Elements!. If and when you do this, remember to save the manipulated image as a different file name so you do not overwrite your fine original image!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most digital cameras have an option on the menu for color or black and white!.

You can also transfer the photos to your pc and use even the basic image and photo editing software to convert the colors as you want to - lighness, color, shade etc!. Have a look for Gimp if you want some decent free picture editing software!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do not know of any that produce both at the same time!.

It is best to take the picture in color and then make a greyscale copy of the original!.
