Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
you can click "save as" at your file and go to the dropdown menu and click jpeg, and then save!.
orrrrrrrrr!.!.!.
if your image has layers and you right click on any of them and click "flatten image," all of the layers will become one, changing it to a jpeg!. and click save as usualWww@QuestionHome@Com

Save your photoshop file:

---- Web images are small partly because they are stripped down to their essentials!.

-----So, when you save a file as a GIF or JPG, you will lose the ability to edit text and have layers!. You want to save your original photoshop file (!.psd file), with your editable text and many layers in case you need to make a change to your graphics!.

Optimize your image for the Web

-----Once you have saved your original image as a Photoshop file with the !.psd extension in your photoshop folder, then you are ready to make an optimized version for the Web!.

-----Go to File-->Save for Web
Select the best compression scheme for your image

GIF is best for graphics and images with solid areas of color

JPEG is best for photographs or subtle gradients of color

Name your file and then at the bottom of the window you'll see a drop down menu next to "file format"!.
