Photoshop fire face. (photo manipulation)?

Question: Photoshop fire face!. (photo manipulation)!?

im wondering how do do this!. like having your face coming up in the flame, or having is coming out of smoke,water,coal,or other cool substances!. sorta like in harry potter, when sirious comes out of the coal in the fireplace!. (btw, im using adobe photoshop cs3)

for animated 3d editing, clip would be done in adobe after effects and other fx software,

in photoshop you would use flames and coals as bump-map emboss to place over or under flames as set,
