They look ok, the D40 is a fine camera remember to get FX lenses if your going to go to the full frame camera, cant fiquire out the relavance of what tool you use to record the images!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

the saturation is ok, who do you want to please!? yourself or others!?

some nice captures there, if you dont do prints then its proberly fine as is!.

Overall not bad composition, but some of your photos are over exposed and over saturated!.

Before you spend the money on the D300, learn how to expose a photo correctly!.

Over exposed photos (IMO):

Warm Fall Day (low sky, ground)
Cactus on the hill
Taste the southwest
The Wild (clouds)
Trees
Happy Fall
Hubby and I
Esther (both BW and color)
Esther and car

Now these photos of what I see could be my eyes or both of my moniters (or all 3)!. I know how some people like over saturated photos, but over exposure to me is not professional!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No need to apologize for using a D40!. I didn't particularly care for the over saturation in many of them, (ex!. the palm trees on your first page) On many I thought it worked nicely!. You are obviously a fan of open and empty spaces, a fondness that I share!. I liked the Esther images and your self portrait!. I left a comment on my favorite, "Forgotten"!. Happy shooting!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not bad at all!.

I LOL when I saw this one!.

It is impossible to tell if your photos are overexposed or oversaturated by looking at an image on a computer screen over the internet!. The proof is in the print!. As far as I can tell, they look fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I disagree with the last answer, I think the saturation really adds to the interest of the photo!. Instead of looking awkward and weird, the saturation looks like it was on purpose (especially this one: http://flickr!.com/photos/thefocusphotogr!.!.!. It's great!. They're all very beautiful!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Love your work!.

Granted, there are some that I might have minor issues with (I hate boring blue skies) but you do have to get what is presented to you!. A great part of the country for dramatic and stark images!. I spent from May through August traveling around that part of the country and was never at a shortage of material!.

Sadly working with a D40!? It's working for you!. That is one incredible camera - I had the opportunity to shoot with two young photographers a few weeks ago that had them!.!.!. I was impressed with the noise reduction as they took time exposures of the starlight from atop the mountain we were on (Ricketts Glen)!.

Sometimes over-exposed works!.!.!. I did it on this one and you tell me if it is a failure!? http://a357!.ac-images!.myspacecdn!.com/ima!.!.!.

Thanks for sharing your visions!.

Nice!. Another person who has shared some great photos! Thank you!.

Your black and white stuff looks great!. They actually look like real black and whites rather than a color picture that was simply de-saturated!.

"I farted" is the greatest! It put a smile on my face!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Beautiful! I really love the flood one!
