Question: Need help with graphic artist interview!.!?
I am a recent graphic design grad!. I have an interview coming up and I don't know the correct way to respond to a question!. The question "why should we hire you!?" or "What can you offer our company!?" always throws me a little!. Answering these in the past I feel that I come off with a little attitude, firmly making a laundry list of attributes!. Being the employer, how would you want me to answer!? or, what would say in my position!?

Do I state my degree!? The programs that I know!? The same stuff that is in my resume!? Or do I state more common stuff, like about meeting deadlines, time management skills, and working independently!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I always bat this question back to them!. talk about the stuff you mentioned, and avoid sounding 'know it all' by telling them that you hope to continue to develop your skills, and ask what they as a company can offer you in terms of professional development!.

coming off as having an attitude is more about how you say something than what you say!. Don't be afraid to sell yourself, but back up what you say with examples; feedback you have had from other employers/tutors, examples of situations where you managed time and met deadlines for example!.

When I'm interviewing people I like those that take their work seriously, without taking themselves too seriously - there is a difference!. And enthusiasm is essential!.

good luck with your interview!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
