Question: Rainy day photography!?
I was planning to go out to the city and take some pictures, but I thought it would be sunnier out!.
I still want to go and see what I can do, but what would you suggest I keep in mind when shooting pictures on cloudy days like this!?

I am just a beginning photography student so any pointers would be appreciated!.

Other than keeping my camera dry :PWww@QuestionHome@Com

If you are shooting with black and white film, remember to drag out the development to increase the gamma of the film to make up for the loss of contrast due to the overcast sky

Shooting with lighting reflecting on the wet streets is always interesting !.!.!. use your tripod and shoot long exposures too!. Catching vehicles traveling in the rain during long exposures can make excellent "trail" images!. also try panning as a car drives by again using slower shutter speeds!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Any photographer that truly is a photographer, hopes for overcast and rainy days!. The light and saturation of everything is so much better without the harsh light of the sun!.

You have a naturally tonal image before you without the bright and disturbing contrast of sunshine and your images will look 100% better than they do on sunny days!. I always go out in the rain!.!.!. that's when I get my best images!.

Shower caps work great as camera covers!.
