Question: Can I put renaissance wax directly onto acrylic paint!?
I've painted a plaster cast with acrylic paint!. I'm not happy with the finish that acrylic varnish gives, I'm trying to achieve a deep matt eggshell effect, is renaissance wax stable over acrylic paint!? Has anyone any other suggestions!? Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i use a cold wax medium on acrylic, and oil paint too, to get that matt effect!. some of my work is more than 10 years old and it still look great!. it takes a while to set, but i like it because it gives debth!. i use it as a working medium, then just the wax medium as a final finish on my sculptures (fired clay)!.

i'm not sure what renaissance wax is, but i hope this info helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
