Question: Can you give me the names of 3-dimensional design artists!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
A three-dimensional design artist is a sculptor!. I!. E!., someone like Alexander Calder who has that big show in New York right now or Ernst Barlach ( http://www!.artcyclopedia!.com/artists/bar!.!.!. )!. If you mean computer art, John Lassiter was responsible for a variety of animated films including Lava Jr!., Tin Toy, Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Carz but he is a traditional animator!. He is also responsible for the current design of the FreeBSD Operating System's mascot Buddy (also available at http://www!.google!.com/bsd )!. He is certainly worth looking at but you would be well advised to pick up some art books and look at sculptors first, or better, go to even a small local museum which has some statures and walk around them as well as looking up names!. Computer Art in general owes a lot to such traditional thinkers as the two I mentioned, August Rodin and Nam June Paik (who used computers in his art -- but the computers were usually elements of the sculpture)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
