Question: Whats this pattern called!?
Is there a specific name for the pattern on this soap dish!? It kind of looks oriental to me (yes i know its trees but idk)!.

It's japanese type of pattern; to me it's looking like a cherry tree (the one in japan with pink flowers)!.

So, look for japanese art between, well, before the "Meiji revolution" which started in the late 18s and I'd say medival time or so!.
Japan started the 19th century as feodal country and raised to fight with americans in the second world war, 42 years later, if I can remeber well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe the pattern is created by using portions of vector illustrations from this book…

…if you check the last preview page you can see some of the tree illustrations, there are others that are closer to your image!.

However, your description of oriental works if you were to try to describe it to someone without an image, you could try silhouette too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
