You'll need to set your camera on a tripod as you'll need a several second shutter speed!. You'll also need to set your aperture to about f16 or so, depending on the fullness of the moon and the ambient light!.

The longer shutter speed will allow the light to expose your clouds, and the small aperture will make sure your moon doesn't blow out!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no way to get details in both moon and clouds with a single exposure!. The moon is in direct sunlight, while the rest of the scene is lit only by moonlight!. The more interesting picture is to get the clouds and let the moon go bright!. The other option is to combine shots in photoshop!. That will look more natural if you keep the moon as bright as possible while still showing some detail!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

What do you have the f-stop set to!? Shutter speed makes a difference, but so do f-stops!.!.!.that's what determines how much light is let in, VS shutter speed which determines how long the shutter is open!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
