There are several!. All over the place!. And I'll point you to one, then I'll give you the disclaimer:

Check out his Drawing Comics page!.

Now, Comics are illustration!. There is a craft of cartooning nobody except the Japanese seem to have much interest in supporting any more, but to really understand cartooning you should understand both academic drawing and illustration!. I'm going to link you to three relevant sites!.

Professor Ralph Larmann at Evansville University put up two great sites in the nineties which are useful today:

http://drawinglab!.evansville!.edu

covers figure drawing with a little bit about gesture drawing!.

http://studiochalkboard!.evansville!.edu

covers perspective and shading!. While they won't do everything for you, they offer lots of good pointers!.

http://www!.elfwood!.com/farp is also old!. And also wonderful!. It's the Fantasy Art Resource project, which covers everything from how to handle media and materials, to anatomy, texture, drawing horses and dragons -- it is about Fantasy Art but with its illustrative bias its tutorials are applicable to almost any type of drawing!.

Here is a decent page about doing bigfoot cartooning, without going into detail about bigfoot!. Pay attention to his materials:

I hope those help you get started!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
