Question: I need ideas for a logo!?

So i have a non profit organization where we help homeless people move up!.!. I want the logo to be STRONG but then have a caring/hopeful feeling to it!. I was thinking to do something with Lord shiva, but the name is after my Mom!.!. Perhaps mix those two!? Any ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

First you must understand what a logo is and what it is supposed to do and how it functions!.

Don't be so literal!. The best logos aren't!. Nike's swoosh isn't literal!. Yet the meaning assigned to it is huge!. Think about what comes to mind when you see the swoosh!. The ads, the athletes, the "just do it", the shoes, the people who buy the shoes, the musicians, the rappers, etc!.

Pretty powerful little swoosh there, eh!?

The logo should be a quick concentration of meaning that causes your brand to resonate!. Logos have to be quick, abstract studies that hold meaning that isn't necessarily there!. They mean nothing and mean everything that becomes attached to them!.

There must be a split second resonance, like that Nike swoosh!.

The logo must attract, have authority, leadership, confidence, and relevance!.

All that being said, how does Lord Shiva and your mother's good name equate to the brand and positioning statement of the nonprofit organization!?

How can you abstract all of this into a singular succinct abstract visual statement that you can assign meaning to that will resonate the essence of the brand!?

Give it a color palette that suits the company and the emotions according the correct color theory!.
