LT usually stands for "lighting theory" in relation to photography!. However, in this case LT is refering to something along the lines of "Long Times!." ( long shutter times/speeds)

The purpose of Night Mode is to take pictures that renders darker backgrounds or environments brighter & with more detail!. This is accomplished by using longer shutterspeeds so that more of the scene has a chance to be recorded!. So, your camera can offer shutter speeds of 1/8 to 5 seconds in Night mode!. These are considered long shutter speeds as it will most likely be impossible to handhold a sharp photo using these times!. Taking photos at these shutter speeds will require a tripod, or placing your camera down on something stable like a table, wall, car, etc!.
