I won't try to sound harsh, mean or rude or something, you might not like this but, for me you really need practice, the details isn't clear and on the second picture the eyes isn't good too, I mean the cornea isn't in the middle(eyes must be in the right proportion, but since you're just still an amateur [not trying to be sound prof but I try my best to help you] try to draw an T on the face to make it IN LINE] if you're going to draw make sure the details is clear and you draw the eyes too massive, the shadowing of the hair isn't good at all, make sure you shade it slowly into different directions, and the nose!.!. put it a lot of shadows so it can be OLA!.! keep practicing and you'll achieve it, I like your work cause I love to draw things like that too :P

if I would rate your work I would rate it 5Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well I don't know how old you are or how long you took on these drawings!.

I think if you are just starting to get into drawing then you still need plenty of practice, as we all do when we start drawing!. If not, then I have nothing against people who draw for the love of it, even if they are not producing eye-popping stuff!.

Try to take a longer time on your drawings, If you look up pencil portraits on somewhere like deviantart, the best ones often take over 10 hours to draw!. Of course, those ones are done by more professional artists, but they had to start somewhere too!.

A good thing to do to help you is to use a grid over the original picture and draw a grid or put one on a piece of paper underneath the piece you are working on, and concentrate on filling in a box at a time!. Eventually, after a few portraits you can take the grid away and you'll understand where things go in proportion to other things, etc with your future drawings, and your drawings will be better without the use of a grid!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like them :) And I think you do have talent!. Very charicature like!. This is much to my taste although I do understand it may not suit all people's liking!.Your work appears to be a very acquired taste & I think you will recieve mixed comments!. I love them though so don't doubt how talented you are :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not bad!
the 3rd one looks a bit like one of the beetles (in their younger days of course!=)) well the glasses make it so anyway
But not bad!
I used to be able to draw with an open mind but now I see that poetry is my calling

make shadows on the face like at the edges of the nose and under the eyes
like, do light lines with your pencil , and with your ring finger slightly shade it to make a shadowWww@QuestionHome@Com

IF you haven't a talent how you creat them !.!.!.!. but you want more practic!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
