Question: Which works best for painting, Artograph Projector or an overhead type projector!. !?
I am considering a projector to enlarge photos that I will pencil in and then paint later!. I will enlarge from say about 4x5 to say about 15 by 22 inches at the largest!. One review in epinions slammed the Artograph projector and said an overhead worked much better!. I'd like to hear from artists that have used the Autograph prism or super prism for enlarging photos!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The problem with the overhead projector is that they are designed to project transparencies, where the artgraph will project an ordinary, opaque photograph!.

So, if you plan to use and overhead projector, you will have to find a way, and take the extra steps to convert the photo into a transparency!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It doesn't really matter!. They both do the same thing!. I use a projector because i had one at home!. It's very simple!. I'd say just get the cheaper of the two and spend more on quality paints and brushes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
