Its a great shot Barry, heres a quick way to cure all the problems if you have any version of Photoshop or Elements!.

Open then copy the picture (Ctrl + J), make sure the copied layer is highlighted!.

Goto Filter>Other>High Pass and move the slider to around 10 (you can play with this setting, your looking for the detail to be just visible) and click OK!.

Your picture will look terrible, just alter the Blend mode to Overlay and your done!. If you think its a tad overcooked just back off the Opacity slider a little!.

This picture could also benefit from opening a Levels Adjustment Layer and just moving the Black and White point sliders to just inside the Histogram (increase contrast), now your picture 'pops'!.

The slight Magenta cast is caused by the Bayer Filter on you camera, just sharpening it by this method removes it!.

Wow! It's beautiful! The setting and composition drew me in!. The green seems vibrant, the colors on the right side seem "misty" and a bit less so!. For a moment, I thought I was looking at a realistic painting!. May I ask where this place is!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Beautiful shot!.

Looks great!.!.!.but if possible, I would clean up some of the 'floaties' in the pond!.

also, in my personal opinion, I think the right hand side (beside the house) should be cropped a bit!.!.!.take out some of that empty space beside the house!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Great shot!. I would crop some of the clouds out though!. Lots of wasted space up there!. also take out your name, add a border and put your name in the border!. Sucks for image theft but helps the look!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nice photo!. Nice composition!. However I think the photo looks a little bit washed out!. It doesn't pop!. It needs some levels adjustment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with an above answerer, the levels need to be adjusted!. The right hand side is very washed out!. The composition is beautiful, though :)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I see a bit too much magenta in the image!. This is causing the green to look browner than it should!. Great shot, none the less!Www@QuestionHome@Com

IMO, would have been better cropped even more!.
Too much sky!.
Great reflections though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only thing!.!.!. well, maybe two things that I think could have improved upon this image you took!.

The first being the perspective!. Maybe walking into the brush in the foreground to get closer to the lake and maybe change the view of the clutter in the front part!.!.!. it's just (in my view) a distraction that takes away from the overall image!. Maybe waiting too!.!.!. to see if the cloud cover could have been better situated for the best presentation - I don't know which way the clouds were moving though so maybe that's a mute concern!.

The image is about 1/2 stop underexposed!.!.!. the white in the clouds is not quite right and the image appears a little bit flat which I think someone did mention!.

Did you use a polarizer!?!.!.!. chances are you might have diminished the reflection if you used it to a full degree but, by turning the polarizer you can control the amount of reflection and still enhance the overall colour quality ('washed out' would have been eliminated)!. One of the problems with taking images a little bit later in the morning, I'm guessing this was taken around 9:30 am, is that the sun is getting up into the sky and beginning to affect the overall quality of the light!. I would, if you have the opportunity, go back and shoot this earlier in the day!.!.!. you will gain a better light quality and peak the interest of your viewers!.

Over all, this is an excellent image and I'm sure the home owner might even be interested in obtaining a copy of what you have to hang in the home!. Try walking around though!.!.!. you stopped to photograph this because something peaked your interest!.!.!. maybe the stark reflection, maybe the angle of view that you saw!.!.!. but was it the best angle you could have chosen!?

The nice thing about these types of images is that they are permanent and provide you with the opportunity to walk around them!. Capturing the beauty then is creative and controllable!.

Thanks for sharing it with us!.!.!.
