How do I make image backgrounds transparent?

Question: How do I make image backgrounds transparent!?

I tried saving the image as a PNG image, but that didn't work!. Any other way!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well firsrt you have to make sure that the im age on your editing program has a transperent background ( as a grey and white checkered background)> Then you save it as a PNG!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
