Make the text whatever color you want the bottom color to be!. To replicate the image you posted, you'd want to make it green!.

Then, hit CTRL + J to replicate the layer!. Then, you just use the select tool to move it up and to the left a little!. Click the text tool, highlight it, and change the color to whatever you want the top color to be!. In this case, purple!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

photoshop and other programs have drop shadow options for fonts, or filters for objects, you can also duplicate layer and change color, , then move offset position,

Just double click the layer the text is on!. the option box will come up, click drops shadow and on the drop shadow options click precise and play around with the drop shadow settings till you get what you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
