Dump iPhoto it copies all over the place and thinks it knows better than you do - which it doesn't!.

The best by far is Photoshop, if that is too expensive then Elements is a reasonable alternative!.

Everybody know the value of Photoshop, but Its almost worth the price just for Bridge which is a far more capable filing and searching program than iPhoto!. It has hidden depths, for instance it can play any video you download, it will open any file for which you have a program all without leaving Bridge!. You can tag all your images with your copyright details as your importing them from your camera, can store in two locations at the same time, and a whole lot more!.
