I want to be able to draw and make up Naruto or other anime pictures straight from my mind to the paper without looking at a photo!. Would an art class teach me how to do that!. Not an art class at school!. I just want to learn how to draw better from my mind!. I can see the pictures, but the second that pencil touches the paper my drawing looks nothing like what the picture in my mind does!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Uh, there are no art classes for Anime, sorry!. I've tried!. In general art classes would help you to draw (or paint) realistic or abstract things, not really anime!. They generally don't teach that because it's Japanese!.!.!.and, well, there's still some animosity towards the Japanese after the internment camps and WWII and whatnot!. In any case, you COULD try an art class, but if you want to draw only anime I wouldn't recommend it!. Art class, as far as I know, (not ever being a student myself) will be really helpful and conducive to your ultimate goal, but it comes from inside yourself, and that's' what art is about!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I agree with Mike!. Despite what you say in your original question, and art class in school IS actually the answer you are looking for!. Professional art classes teach you about perspective, proportion, and anatomy!. You can then take this knowledge and apply it to any art medium, whether it be painting, drawing, sketching, sculpting, comic books/graphic novels, anime, or what ever you're in to!. More than anything, you have to remember to practice, practice, practice!.!.!. Its really the only way, and it comes with time!. I know that when I first started drawing I felt the same way!. You just have to push through the frustration and keep drawing!. It doesn't matter if you're doing true life or cartoons!. An understanding of basic anatomy gives you an idea of what should go where and how much of it to put on paper (relative dimensions)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Art classes are good at teaching you the basics of drawing, painting etc!.
