Question: I have an old Ricoh xr-10 and how do i activate light meter/battery without taking photo!?
It has film in it atm and i have a battery!. The light meter flashes arrows but when i stop using it for a few minutes it won't flash and then to get it going again i have to press the button to take a photo but i don't want every second photo to turn out dark or too light!.

Your camera has an "Exposure Indication Switch" located on the front of the camera to the right of the lens as you hold the camera in shooting position!. According to the Owner's Manual it automatically shuts of after 8 minutes!. You can download the manual at:

There is a suggested $3!.00 fee which I think you should pay if you download the Manual!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not familiar with your camera model--but my Nikon FM2's light meter comes on when I press the shutter release button half way--and it stays on for a few seconds!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
