RonniewithanR mentioned Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Figure Drawing, Dynamic Anatomy etc!. series (that's why he called it Dynamic Drawing)!. Hogarth was a newspaper cartoonist (he drew Tarzan for a while) who went on to found what became the School of Visual Arts and ended his life as a lecturer!. It won't tell you everything you need to know about drawing, and his approach does have slightly comic-booky results, but it is a way of thinking about the human body which, believe me, with serious study and practice will make it almost simple!.

I also like George Bridgeman's Constructive Anatomy which Dover books keeps in print (and real cheap: I believe it costs about $5 US which when you see it you will understand is a steal)!.

There are other books like Jeno Barcsay's Anatomy for the Artist (I used to like to say that if you don't have a copy of it the Figure Drawing Police will come to your house and confiscate your art supplies until someone took me seriously)!.

Let's talk about models for a minute!. You got a mirror, you got a model!. If you don't use mirrors you aren't serious!. We have the muscles and avoirdepus we have, not that some glamor organizatiion says we do!.

Finally web sites!. I'm sure there are others, but one which is usually all I need when I'm on the Web is
