Question: Creative Clown Ideas!?

Okay, at my school we are dressing up as clowns to make little 2nd grades who are less forunate than others!. I want to make them laugh but i dont know what to wear or say! Can you give me ideas!?

What a great idea! Since some kids are afraid of clowns, I'm thinking of a "little girl" clown!. Wear an outfit kind of like the old Raggedy Ann doll - colorful stockings, dress/pinafore/skirt with big bloomers underneath!. You can carry a dolly with you (maybe even put make-up on the dolly too)!. Talk to them in a little girl voice & so silly little kid things - that way they will be more likely to laugh rather than be intimidated!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is the book "Creative Clowning" by Bruce Fife, Tony Blanco, Steve Kissell, Bruce Johnson, Ralph Dewey, Hal Diamond, Ed Harris, Jack Wiley and Gene Lee!. An awesome book that will give you the history of clown!. The 3 different types of clown!. How to develop your clown character!. The correct way to apply make-up and many other helpful tips!.

Since you're not going to have several months to hone your clown skills and do a show I would suggest doing face-painting and balloon animals!. Both very easy skills to acquire and seven year old children seem to enjoy them!.

If you do have the time to prepare a show, try reading some books on clown skits!. There are many out there that will tell you how to do clown bits!. Some that even read like scripts and are fun!.
