Question: Good DIY Tilt-Shift Lens!?
I'm looking for a good alternative (DIY) for a tilt-shift lens!.
The $1000+ real lenses are way out of my price range!.

I've looked at a couple sites that suggest using medium format lenses for the contraption!. Any good advice for a cheap medium format lens!?

And are Lensbabies any good!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're trying to correct perspective on architectural shots and such, buy an old view camera with movements from eBay -- not a Press Camera like a Speed graphic, but an old monorail camera like a Calumet 4X5!. You can get a 4X5 with a wide-angle lens for perhaps $400, and then you have the most versatile, high-quality camera possible -- though slow to operate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A tilt/shift lens is usually associated with architectural photography!. It allows you to keep the film/sensor plane parallel with the building plane (this I I, not this I /) to avoid that "classic" falling-back look!. That's where the building gets narrower bottom to top and usually looks as though its falling backwards!. A tilt/shift lens can also be used to control the planes of focus!.

The Lensbaby is a selective focus control lens which allows you to create certain special effects!. A visit to http://www!.lensbaby!.com should prove helpful!.
