There are Three Photographers that really represent and have been the most influential with their use of COLOUR in our time!.
Ernst Haas - Was a Pioneer for colour photography worked close with kodak to develop their ektachrome!.

William Eggleston - with Haas was probably one of the 1st to seriously document the world with colour!.

Martin Parr - Although he was quite a bit later he chose colour to give his images appeal and causing a stir in the process but his methods came from looking at the above two Eggleston more than Haas but it did him no harm!.

I know these are obvious suggestions but these people really pioneered the colour medium!.
