How can I make this image look more interesting?

Question: How can I make this image look more interesting!?

So far I have reduced it to this

How can I photoshop it to make it look really pretty!? I am using an older version of Photoshop (5!.0) so keep that in mind when suggesting filters and the likes!.

I was thinking I wanted to make it black and white on a black background and kind of make it fade out (I sort of picture it like the Phantom of the Opera mask)!. How would I be able to do this!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

don't place it in the center of the frame!. placing it off center makes it look prettier and more interesting!.
