Well with the basic accumulated knowledge i have, I'd say you'd need some kind illustrator/photoshop program that allows you to draw a vectored drawing (which I think is needed to do silk screening)!. However, if you want to create an iron on design I think all you need is the design and access to the special paper and printer you will need to put on paper!. However, some paper and ink might need a special hot press to apply it on fabric!. You can see your local art school or printing/fabric company for use of these pieces of equipment or they might just do it for you!. Search the internet for more specific help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

OK what i got from your question was, You want to Transfer a design onto a plain top!? :)

You could maybe use CAD a machine used in textiles, you program a design and then it sews onto the material (cant have allot of detail to the image though)

You could also(a much more successful way) Screen print onto the top!. These techniques your college will show you, ask them for help!.

You could also print onto material with ink!.

You can iron the image on to material as well!.

There are probably many other ways, ask the tutors on your course!.

What might be helpful is to photocopy the image onto laminate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
