Question: Is color reversal film for color slides!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes!. Color reversal film is used either for slides or for motion picture film (movie film - 8mm, 16mm, Super-8, etc)!.

Normal film for pictures is usually called "negative film" or simply "print film!." Normally, when film is exposed in a camera, an image is captured on the film, but in reverse!. This is why it's called a "negative!." Black and white film captures the image in reverse - areas that were exposed to more light actually look darker on the negative, and areas that were exposed to less light will be lighter!. This is because light causes a chemical reaction on the silver halide in the film, and causes it to darken!. Then, when the picture is developed from the negative, a positive print is made!. The image is exposed and developed on photo paper using an enlarger with traditional photography!.!.!.or the film can also be scanned directly!. But in either case, a positive image is developed from the negative!.

With color film, the process is similar!.!.!.a color image is captured on the film, but the colors are reversed!. When the pictures are developed, a positive print is made and the colors appear correct!.

With "color reversal film", the image is made into positive colors during the development process!. This is necessary with slides or movie film because the image is actually projected onto a screen for viewing, so it has to display the correct colors!. There is no "negative" with color reversal films, and there are no prints!.!.!.the original film is used!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, when you take your color reversal film to the lab you will get back color slides!. Remember, when using color reversal film(slide film) you do not have as much latitude for exposure as you do with negative film!. Your exposure has to be dead on every time!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
