It is 3 hours from where I live!. All she wants is bridal portraits, pics getting ready of guys and girls, a few cermeony pics, and reception pics!. There will be about 200 people there, and it will be in a church!. This is only my 2nd wedding!. What should I charge her, including travel costs!?

I would say between $900- 1200 is a good price!. if she thinks that is too high bring it down a little!. Www@QuestionHome@Com In addition to the previous answers, are you planning to do this as a career, or is it simply something you do whenever a friend asks you!? If you're planning to make this a career I would recommend doing a business plan and coming up with a pricing strategy!. Figure in all your costs for the one gig (your time, albums, prints, batteries, rental gear if necessary) and your other expenses (equipment, office supplies, advertising, rent, electricity, heat) and then charge a reasonable markup!. also, make sure you get everything in writing, including the price and what you will be covering!. I've heard many stories of brides not happy because of miscommunication!. You will probably take offense to this, but it does not matter if this is your 2nd or 200th wedding,!.!.!. if you do not know what your time and skill are worth, how is anyone else supposed to know!? Wedding photography prices are all over the map!. The highest is not always the best, the cheapest is not always the worse!. Again, you need to know how much time, effort, and investment you will putting into this both before and after the wedding, figure a reasonable profit, then charge accordingly!.
