In the first image I feel like the feather and her eyes are competing for the focous point!. The second image just dosen't look real, it dosen't look bad it just dosen't look real!. The hand looks too soft and the bluish and the grey also look fake!. The third image I think is the best of the 4 you linked too but I think there is too much light on her nose!. The last image I feel like the boys eyes disappear, they just look like black dots instead of eyes!. I also think this one is too soft and the boys pose is distracting!! Don't think I am being mean, I just know that you want honest criticism so that's what I am giving you!!Www@QuestionHome@Com There good and you want to improve them!? No image is complete, ever!. What I would do with them: 1!. in photoshop, play with the dodge and burn tool to give the feather more pop, right now it sort of blends into your face!. 2!.once again, play with contrast and burn tools to give the leaf more shadows!. its real light and combines with the fingers, so try to separate them with shadows!. also, clone the background to a pure black to get rid of those dull light areas!. if you have the original and it isn't cropped this way, try to keep most of the hand in there!. 3!.clone out the random strands of hair on the right side!. if you meant for that black smudge to be right next to your eye, keep it, but otherwise it sort of distracts from your eye itself, so clone that part too ;P try enhancing your [beautiful] eye color with a lighter brush, or changing the color completely!. i dont really like the crop on this one :/ 4!.this one is gorgeous :] i wouldnt have diffused it so hard, but a soft touch does a picture well!. there are overexposed areas on his cheek and in the cats fur!. also try either cloning or cropping out the areas that become distractions in the background, such as the tip of his knee at the bottom of the picture, or his arm on the left side behind the cat!. i love how the cats fur matches his hair :] I hope some of this gave you ideas, [im not gonna tell you exactly what to do or how to do it, its all the fun in experimenting] Gorgeous work, if you want to do more stuff to your pictures, try looking up things online or playing with photoshop!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Three of them I wouldn't touch!. I would however re shoot the hand with the ivy to make it sharper and the leaf less blown out!. Re the comment someone made about making the peacock feather pop!.!. I wouldn't do it!. As it is, it compliments the image and the tonal balance is good!. If you "make it pop" it will destroy the balance of the image!. You are at the stage where you need to trust in your own artistic integrity!. Be very selective about accepting or dismissing critiques!. The need to please will destroy your artistic integrity!. Best just to go your own way and ignore all but the professionals!. Even then your artistic eye is probably superior to most of them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com the first one is doesn't need any changes!. the subject is very well balance and the colors are great!. the one with the leaf you might want to make is bluey with a filter but i would give more warmth to the picture!. the 2 others are fine!. i must say that you have great pictures and you know how to capture your subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com They all are really good but I would suggest not going with a glow all the time!. I think if you took that out they would look better and also if you adjusted the colors, maybe making them pop a bit more, which I think would add more life to the photos! I love the second one!. I think the first answerer said it already, but the fourth one might look more real without the glow!.
