If you use Goggle Image and look at photos of lightning, you will see that it is white, often surrounded by either pink, blue or green "flash!."

When I paint it I usually make the "flash" or fuzzy outline out of pink or blueish-green, sometimes purple, and then add the white "bolt" over the top of it!. However, in this one, a watercolor, I masked the lights and the lightning, and painted them in later!. !. !. !.not quite as effective: http://i266!.photobucket!.com/albums/ii267!.!.!. The color of lightning very much depends on the color of sky behind it!. It could be blue, purple, orange or red!. Blue is probably the most popular giving you a light blue/white strike!. I think a toothy construction paper with some pastels or colored pencils will give you a better result!. The texture will give you a grainy edge on your lightning!.
Try a red-orange sky with some bright yellow lightning for a cool doomsday effect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

draw a light blue fork like outline in chalk pastles of ur lightning on some black sugar paper or another black material in black then go over it with a thinner outline of white folowing the first out line!.

you may have to do the white out line a couple of times for it to stand out!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
