actually its pretty good very nice focus the only thing is u should crop out some of the background because it feels like its too much and its taking away from the guy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's an pretty good snapshot that would be much better if he was looking at your camera instead of his!. For a shot like that, get your camera ready to shoot (flash ready and shutter button halfway down to preset focus and exposure) and call his name!. The instant he looks up, take the picture!.

As a serious photograph, it suffers from harsh on-camera flash, overexposed highlights, and a busy background!. The framing would be much better if his head were up and a bit to the right; it would have been good to get his hands completely in the picture, and a "rule of thirds" composition would work well here!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I regard it as a good photo because it perfectly catches the mood of the moment!. For a photo like yours that counts more than any technical aspects (hard shadows, cropping, rule of thirds)!.
I don't think it would have been better if the boy had looked at you!. Why!?
If he looked at you it would have been a boy holding a camera!.
So it is a boy who has just shot a picture, looks at it and what he sees makes him smile - just smile not bursting with laughter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
