What is the difference of a slides submission and digital submission?

Question: What is the difference of a slides submission and digital submission!?

I'm trying to get a scholarship for college and have to send in my paintings/drawings!. It asks me whether i would like to submit a slide submission or digital submission!. I have no clue what they are trying to ask- can anyone clue me in!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

For a digital submission you will send a disc with the images labeled with title, media, and dimensions!. Price as well if applicable!. Slides are getting to be a little like dinosaurs but you would have some one who knows how to shoot art take photos using the type of film that are turned into slides, a small positive photo of your images that can be viewed (using their own equipment) on a screen (using a slide projector) or through a hand held device!.
