Question about graphic designing?

Question: Question about graphic designing!?

I want to be a graphic designer i'm a senior in high school!. this might sound like a stupid question but my teacher is confusing the hell out of me!. Is "Graphic Designer" a actual job title!? or is it a category for bunch of different jobs like (illustrator, layout artist, brand designer) !? i'm confused!. please help thanks Www@QuestionHome@Com

in some companies graphic designer is a title, in others it is a job family that includes illustrator!. Freelance folks (and the artists themselves) usually call themselves graphic designer!. It is a more general term than the others!.
A graphic designer can do illustration, web design, logo design, product design, layout, etc!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

there is such a thing (title) as a graphic designer which can lead to art director creative director!. You should look into what part of graphics you want to look into
