Question: I can see thru my muslin backdrop, why!?
My muslin backdrop seems so thin, and creases easily!. I have just started photography as a hobby, and would love to get some scenic muslin's, but the way my white and black muslin's are, I don't understand how a scenic one would work! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Generally, when using muslin backdrops, the area behind the backdrop is void of anything!. Light!. Storage of un-used items, etc!.!.!.

also, depending on your light source in FRONT of the muslin, the light will reflect off the front side, making it look brighter and making anything in the back of it seem darker, however!.!.!. It would be best to have nothing behind your backdrop!.

If you get scenic back drops the same applies!. Have nothing behind other than a blank wall!. Nothing !.!.!.

Make sure there is no light source behind the backdrop at all!. That will help a lot! Think about window curtains!. When it is dark outside and you have lights on in the house, people can see "something" on the lighted side of the curtain but you can not see anything on the "dark" side of the curtain!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
