Question: Does the quality of your scanner affect your sketches!?
I do sketching and sometimes, I scan them into my computer but my pencil shading looks brown and the shading also looks weird and uneven!. Does the quality of your scanner affect the way images turn out in your computer or is it because of something else!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

For digitalizing artwork scanners are the way to go!. It might be you program and your scanner though!. Clean your scanner!. Next try to check your parameters on the scanner ont he computer!. The reason your scans are not turning out good is because you might need to up the pixels points pica!. You can scan high and then move it down to maintain quality, but the reverse is not so!. I suggest play with the filters on your program you have!. I do not know what image program you have so I do not know what else I can suggest because lack of information!. good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

Do you smoke!? If so that could be your problem, and you may need to clean the scanner glass!. also depending how long you have had your tablet, the dirt building on it could leave a light tan on the paper!. Which will scan the image with a vintage brown tint!. With the uneven scanning of the shading, you may want to try scanning the sketch in at a higher dpi!.
also cheap scanners usually have a lifespan of a couple years!. If you are a dedicated artist, I would recommend spending the money on a high quality scanner!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
