Question: Photoshop help!!!!!!!?

when i use pen tool a new layer with vector mask is automatically created and fuctions like stroke path are disabled!.please tell me how to reset the configuration!.!.!.!.so that a new layer with vectormask is not created!.please help!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.: (Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you choose the pen tool, the top horizontal toolbar changes to the pen tool functions!.
From the left, the first symbol/icon is the pen tool (with a little drop down menu), then come the interesting ones: The one on the left creates the layer, the one on the right creates a path!.
